A New Marion Restaurant is Now Open for Business [PHOTOS]

Goldfinch Tap + Eatery is officially OPEN!

The new restaurant, located in the old Louie's Scoreboard location at 740 10th St in Marion, will be opening today from 3 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. They had a soft opening over the last several days, but this is the first full week they are open. Lunch and brunch will begin soon!

According to the official website, the restaurant "features a scratch kitchen accompanied by 16 taps and handcrafted cocktails." They posted their menu to Facebook this week, and it features delicious options like corn fritters, cheese curds, mac & cheese, Steak de Burgo, salads, salmon, a BBQ bacon burger, and other sandwiches.

Since the restaurant was technically open this past weekend, I stopped by for dinner on Friday night. As expected with a new restaurant on a Friday evening, there was a bit of a wait. We ended up sitting at the bar to save a little time, which was no problem at all! The bartender was great and we were still able to order food.

And speaking of food, everything we ordered tasted delicious! We started with cocktails and appetizers. I had the Raspberry Sangria Mule, the spinach artichoke dip, and the French onion dip.

For our meals, I had Betty's Cheddar Mac, and my friends had the buttermilk chicken sandwich and the pork tenderloin. Nobody had any complaints! I ended up taking half the mac & cheese home with me, so the portion sizes were good.

I think Goldfinch Tap + Eatery is a great, unique addition to Marion. With the yummy food and cool atmosphere, I don't see why the place won't be a big success! You can learn more about the restaurant by following them on Facebook HERE.
