The COVID-19 pandemic continues to force area summer events and festivals to postpone their events for a year. The latest is Cedar Valley Pridefest. According to their official website, CV Pridefest is postponed, and will not take place in 2020 for the safety of those participating and attending.

Originally set to kick off on August 28 in Downtown Waterloo, the event will now be held on Friday, August 27 and Saturday, August 28, 2021. The location will remain the same. The announcement comes as a slew of area summer events have made similar choices to protect the community.

Despite the physical events being canceled, Pridefest organizers are instead is working with educational and entertainment partners in hopes to provide online content that the community can watch and participate in safely from their homes. See more info on the groups official website.
