This is a tumultuous time we're living in...with a transition of power in the White House and a pandemic that continues to grip our state and the nation. In all of the chaos, we can not forget about one of our most important holidays in the U.S. I think it's very important, that we all "pump the brakes" as a nation, and stop and pay tribute to those serving and those who have served in the armed services.

This Wednesday is Veterans Day. As a thank you to all those who have served or are currently serving, the Grout Museum/Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veterans Museum will once again be offering free admission on Wednesday, November 11, to all Veterans and Active Duty Service Members.

"On this Veterans Day, let us remember the service of our veterans, and let us renew our national promise to fulfill our sacred obligations to our veterans and their families who have sacrificed so much so that we can live free." -- Dan Lipinski

One the the Cedar Valley's tourist gems, the Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veterans Museum & Grout Museum of History & Science are located at 503 South Street in Waterloo. They are open from 10am to 4pm, Tuesdays through Saturdays. Masks and social distancing will be required.
