Iowa Department of Public Health officials announced Tuesday that 19 additional people have tested postive for the coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases to 124 across the state.

Three of the newest cases are in northeast Iowa. Health officials confirmed the fourth cases in Black Hawk and Tama counties and the first case in Buchanan County. Each of the cases involved a middle-aged adult who is between 41- and 60-years-old.

The most-recent cases were announced by state health officials Tuesday, shortly after 11 AM. To date, there have been 2,315 negative tests conducted at the State Hygienic and other labs.

Here's information on the 19 additional cases of COVID-19 released by the Iowa Department of Public Health:

Black Hawk County:
1 case: a mid-aged adult (41-60 years)

Buchanan County:
1 cases: a middle-aged adult (41-60 years)

Cedar County:
1 case: an older adult (61-80 years)

Dallas County:
1 case: a middle-aged adult (41-60 years)

Jasper County:
1 case: an older adult (61-80 years)

Johnson County:
1 case: a middle-aged adult (41-60)

Muscatine County:
2 cases: 2 older adults (61-80 years)

Polk County:
5 cases: 3 adults (18-40 years); 1 middle-aged adult (41-60 years); 1 older adult (61-80 years)

Poweshiek County:
1 cases: an older adult (61-80 years)

Story County:
1 case: an older adult (61-80 years)

Tama County:
1 case: a middle-aged adult (41-60 years)

Warren County:
1 case: an adult (18-40 years)

Washington County:
1 case: an older adult (61-80 years)

In addition, a public hotline has been established for Iowans with questions about COVID-19. The line is available 24-7 by calling 2-1-1 or 1-800-244-7431.

Iowans who have traveled recently for business or spring break vacations, whether internationally or domestically outside of Iowa, should strongly consider self-isolating for 14 days. This will support the state's ongoing efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, and limit the introduction of the virus from other points of travel, IDPH officials said.
