Deer Hunter in Minnesota Bags a Buck — and an ALLIGATOR (Photos)
Last weekend, East Bethel, Minnesota, (about 40 minutes north of the Twin Cities) was experiencing unseasonably warm weather in the 70s, and Cory Klocek was using it to his advantage during opening weekend for deer hunting.
After he bagged a 10-point buck near a pond, something caught his eye -- an alligator. This was the first LIVING alligator that he had ever seen and, of all places, in the wild of Minnesota --- in NOVEMBER.
According to the Star Tribune the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources confirmed the three-foot-long reptile was indeed an alligator and it is considered invasive species in Minnesota. The DNR told him to go ahead and hunt the gator since it wouldn’t survive the winter anyway.
