Breakups are never easy, but for celebrities grappling with the tabloid spotlight, they can be unbearable. Pete Davidson, who recently broke up with pop star and ex-fiancée Ariana Grande, knows this all too well.

The Saturday Night Live comedian is reportedly trying to "distance himself" from the Sweetener singer following their high-profile breakup earlier this month, Page Six writes.

According to Us Weekly, Davidson has even changed his phone number in an effort to remove himself as far away from the situation as possible.

"He decided to focus on himself," a source told the publication. "He’s had the matching tattoo that he got with her changed. This has been a difficult experience for Pete. He’s always been an extremely private person and the Ariana Grande spotlight and social media were a lot of new pressure for him."

The previously inseparable pair, who share matching tattoos as well as a pet pig which they got together last month, shocked fans when they announced their split on October 14.

Davidson and Grande were engaged for four months. The comedian announced his "lit" engagement during an appearance on The Tonight Show on June 20.
