A prisoner listed as an escapee from a Waterloo correctional facility has been arrested in northeast Iowa.

Ronald Martin, 44, was taken into custody Monday following a disturbance in Decorah.

Police were called to a home on Center Street around 10 AM to investigate the incident. When officers arrived, they identified one of the subjects as Martin.

According to Decorah police, Martin was considered an escaped felon from a Waterloo correctional facility. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Winneshiek County jail, where he was being held for Iowa Department of Corrections officials.

In a press release, Decorah police said no local charges were filed against Martin in connection with the disturbance.
