A man wanted in at least 4 Northeast Iowa counties for theft and burglaries, has been taken into custody.


Authorities had been on the lookout for 43 year old Mark Schroeder; they also requested the public be aware, and report if they see him.

Schroeder was recently found in Fayette County. He was arrested by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.

Schroeder is wanted by several agencies in Clayton, Chickasaw, Winneshiek and Fayette Counties. He is accused of auto thefts and burglaries around the area, and, up until now, had been eluding law enforcement

Northeast Iowa sheriff's offices continue to remind residents, especially in the rural areas, to lock your vehicles and remove the keys.
