Fire destroyed a barn on a Fayette County farm Tuesday morning (Sept. 11, 2018).

Sheriff's officials received multiple 911 calls about the fire off U.S. Highway 18 between West Union and Clermont shortly before 8 AM.

Authorities said the barn, which was filled with hay and equipment, was fully engulfed when they arrived at the scene. According to sheriff's officials, deputies conducted traffic control in order to get fire trucks from West Union and Clermont through a construction area on the highway.

No one was injured in the fire, but the barn and equipment is considered a total loss.

Sheriff’s officials said the fire at 7304 Harding Road will continue to burn in a controlled setting for the next couple days. The cause hasn't been determined.
