The Franklin County Fair is the latest to put the 2020 edition of its event on hold until next year. In a press release received by this radio station - and a post on its official Facebook page, the fair board confirmed the news and stated the Franklin County Public Health, Emergency Management, local law enforcement and the Board of Supervisors was influential in making the decision to nix the fair amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The fair was scheduled to run from July 15-19 in Hampton, Iowa.

The post goes on to optimistically state the 2021 fair will be held July 14-18 and encourages readers to make it the best one yet. Those who purchased a POP pass gift card can obtain a refund by filling out this form.
