The city of Waterloo has stopped garbage pick-up for today, due to the winter weather.

In press release sent out shortly after 9 AM, city officials said garbage trucks were being pulled off the roads immediately due to deteriorating conditions. Garbage not collected today will be picked up on Thursday. Carts should be placed by the curb by 6 AM.

According to city officials, curbside collection of recyclables has also been suspended for the day. Republic Service also plans to collect today's recyclable materials on Thursday.
