There've been some odd 911 calls throughout the years, as you may have heard about or done yourself. However, I'll bet you've never heard a 911 call quite like this one.

At 2:50 a.m. on Friday morning, Milford Police Department received a phone call (via 911) from a local elderly man. When officers showed up to the property and asked what the emergency was, the man explained that he was "lonely and wanted someone to talk to". Officers Keaton Verner and Garth Wolff then did something unexpected, they pulled up a chair and proceeded to have a conversation. After their shift was over Officer Verner chose to stay with the man for a bit longer, before heading off.

In a recent facebook post, the Milford Police Department had this to say. "Most people wouldn't do this, and I am sure it meant the world to him. This career isn't about making arrests, giving people tickets, it's about helping others out in their time of need. If you ever feel like you need someone to talk to, please don't hesitate to call. We are always here". KCCI has the full article here.
