Iowa Police Seize 82 Pounds Of Marijuana

Lakeland, FL- A woman has been busted for horsing around while drunk...
Multiple 911 calls reported a woman riding a horse on a busy road. 53-year-old Donna Byrne was arrested after police found her on a horse hoofing it down the highway. Officers administered a breathalyzer test and Byrne's blood alcohol reading was .161, more than twice Florida's legal limit.
She was charged with DUI and animal neglect. Byrne has a lengthy arrest record, previously facing five felony and 10 misdemeanor charges, including cruelty to animals. [NBC News]
Now she's SADDLED with some more charges.
San Francisco, CA- A shipment of brand new iPhone Xs was stolen prior to its launch day.
Police say three suspects in hooded sweatshirts broke into a UPS truck on Wednesday morning as the iPhones were being delivered to a local mall. The value of the stolen phones was estimated at $370,000.
The much-hyped smartphone was available for sale on Friday in more than 50 markets, including the U.S., China and the U.K. [CNBC]
$370,000? That's what...12 phones? Actually, it's more like 300...which still means you're paying about $800 more for a phone than you probably should.
Iowa City, IA- Police hauled in a HUGE weed stash last week.
Johnson County officers stopped a vehicle for traffic violation on Interstate 80 Eastbound near the Coral Ridge Mall exit Thursday night.
Authorities performed a search of the truck and found 82.19 pounds of marijuana stored in vacuum-sealed bags. The pot has an estimated street value of about $245,000.
32-year-old Jairo Rodriguez & 24-year-old Juan Salcedo were arrested and charged with felony drug trafficking and a drug tax stamp violation. [Iowa City Press-Citizen]
