As of the end of September Iowa's unemployment rate remains at a staggering 2.5%. According to the Iowa Workforce Development, an estimated 1.69 million residents were employed and only 44,200 were not. That rate hasn't changed from August either, as the number of people with and without jobs increased.

Iowa is tied for second with two other states, New Hampshire and North Dakota. The only state to beat these three? Vermont, who's unemployment rate sits at 2.2%. One thing is for sure here in the Hawkeye state, we know the value of a hard days work.
