If you are obsessed with all things supernatural (and I am not just talking about the TV show) and creepy ghost towns, you need to check this out.

Thrillist just came out with a list of the "creepiest, coolest ghost town in every state" and I feel a road trip coming on! Now because I am a little weary of going on road trips to different states right now to check all these places out because you know, corona, I am going to start with some place local... Gitchie Manitou State Preserve in Iowa.

Okay so maybe not super local but the Gitchie Manitou State Preserve in northwest Iowa has been named by Thrillist as the creepiest, coolest town in Iowa. If you have never heard of this place like me, it is a 91 acre park with at least 17 Native American burial grounds (cue the ghosts). It's a beautiful place camp according to many visitors but beware of the haunted reputation that goes back to 1973. According to legend, this is when three brothers killed four teenagers before being sentenced to life in prison (sounds like the start of a ghost movie, right?).

Now since I have never been to this "ghost" town, I cannot say whether it is the creepiest one in Iowa. However, I want to hear from you! Is this the creepiest ghost town in Iowa? What are the other ones we are missing out on? Let us know in the comments below!
