Local Man Arrested After Traffic Stop in Oelwein

Oelwein Police have arrested a local man, following an incident early Saturday (Sept. 7) in the 100 block of 1st Avenue SE.

31 year old Nathan Williams of Oelwein was taken into custody on a Buchanan County Warrant, on the original charge of Driving While Suspended.

Late Friday night, Oelwein Police made a traffic stop in the 1,000 block of West Charles, and cited an Oelwein man. 45 year old Charles Evans was given a citation for the charge of Driving While Suspended.

And shortly after 6pm Sunday, Oelwein Police were called to investigate some vandalism. The criminal mischief happened in the 10 block of 2nd Avenue SW. It remains under investigation.
