NE Iowa Teen Dies in Clayton County Traffic Accident
A two-vehicle accident in Clayton County has taken the life of a Greeley teenager.
It happened shortly after 11pm Friday (Feb. 16) at the intersection of Littleport Road and East Mission Road, northwest of Edgewood.
A car driven by 20-year-old Kory Doeppke of Elkader failed to stop at the stop sign, and was struck by a pickup driven by 31-year-old Sean Chopard of Edgewood.
One of the passengers, 16-year-old Brady Edwards of Greeley, was ejected and died at the scene. Another passenger, 15-year-old Tori Bolsinger of Edgewood, was taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries. 16-year-old Izaiah Drinkwater of Manchester was ejected; he and Doeppke were taken to University Hospitals in Iowa City, in critical condition. Chopard was not hurt.
The accident remains under investigation by the Clayton County Sheriff's Office.
