Bundle up, it's about to get CHILLY in Iowa. The National Weather Service in Des Moines released its 6-10 day outlook and it's going to be C-C-C-COLD.

We can expect HIGH temps maybe in the 30s with low temps dipping into the teens. Ouch.

The 'Normal' high temp for the final week of October should be in the mid-to-upper-50s, with lows -- on average -- in the mid-30s.

This outlook is valid October 27-31, so expect ANOTHER cold Halloween. Last year on October 31st the high temp only reached 37.*

The record for the COLDEST High Temperature in Waterloo on Halloween is 33*, set in 1996. The record LOW temp on 10/31 in Waterloo is a chilly 15* set waaaay back in 1917.
