Authorities report a Tama woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident east of the city on Thursday (April 5, 2018).

The Iowa State Patrol identified the victim as Charlene Rosenfelder, 64.

According to a crash report, Rosenfelder's eastbound sport utility vehicle was struck by a westbound semi that crossed the center line of U.S. Highway 30 north of Chelsea. State troopers said the vehicles collided on the eastbound shoulder after Rosenfelder attempted to avoid the collision.
