Iowa's smallest incorporated town has a population of 15 people, but a some interesting Iowa history...

The town is Beaconsfield. It's a tiny city in Ringgold County, Iowa about 3 hours southwest of Waterloo. The population was a mere 15 in the 2010 census, an increase from 11 in the 2000 census. As of 2020, it's still estimated to only have 15 residents making it the smallest incorporated city in Iowa. But that doesn't mean it's not without history...

The Hy-Vee grocery chain has its origin in the Beaconsfield Supply Store, a general store opened by Charles Hyde and David Vredenburg in 1930. This location is on the National Register of Historic Places and you can see a photo of it here.

With so few people, I'd imaging gossip would travel rather quickly throughout the city. Best they keep their noses clean!
