Much has been made about the positive cases in our state - especially as of late since our numbers skyrocketed after the community spread associated with the Tyson plant in Waterloo. But one statistic not gaining much attention, is the number of Iowans who have, according to the official Iowa government website for COVID-19, recovered from the virus.

As we sit now, the number who have recovered sits at 3,325 - and growing each day. So too, unfortunately, the cases grow. However, a majority of those who have been stricken with novel coronavirus do recover, and that's something we should try not to lose sight of during this pandemic.

The number of those in Black Hawk County who have recovered sits at 421 as of this writing.
