Some area school districts are dismissing students early today, due to excessive heat.

Weather forecasters are predicting another sunny, hot and humid day with high temperatures in the lower to middle 90s across Iowa. Heat index values are expected to be between 95°-105°.

Aplington-Parkersburg: Dismissing 2 1/2 Hours early the rest of the week (Aug. 26-28)

Dike-New Hartford: Dismissing 2 hours early the rest of the week (Aug. 26-28)

Edgewood-Colesburg: Dismissing at 1:30 PM

Gladbrook-Reinbeck: Dismissing 2 hours early the rest of the week (Aug. 26-28)

Nashua-Plainfield: Dismissing 2 hours early (Wednesday, 8/26 and Thursday, 8/27)

Sumner-Fredericksburg: Dismissing at 1:05 PM (Wednesday, 8/26 and Thursday, 8/27)

Tripoli: Dismissing at 12:45 PM; No after school child care (Wednesday, 8/26 and Thursday, 8/27)
