Selena Gomez has been laying low for the better half of 2017. After revealing she had undergone a kidney transplant earlier this year, the 25-year-old singer will take the stage at the 2017 American Music Awards for the first time post-surgery to perform her brand new single, "Wolves."

Gomez is no stranger to the AMAs. She won the Favorite Female Artist — Pop/Rock award in 2016 and has performed during the event twice before, playing "Same Old Love" in 2015 and "The Heart Wants What It Wants" in 2014.

In September, the young star took to Instagram to explain why she had been so quiet this year, divulging she needed a kidney transplant to treat Lupus, an autoimmune condition she was diagnosed with in 2013. Her friend, actress Francia Raisa, was the donor.

On the mend, Gomez looks happier and healthier than ever. Tune in to the AMAs on November 19 at 8 PM/7 PM Central to watch her return to the stage.
