Tuesday is going to be hot and steamy, followed by possible severe weather in Iowa. The National Weather Service in Des Moines says:

Updated 1:38 pm Mon: Still some uncertainty how widespread the severe thunderstorms will be over far northern Iowa Tuesday eve, the Enhanced Risk has been shifted south by about 20 miles. Regardless, folks over the north should be prepared for severe storms late tomorrow.

Heat indices are still expected to be near triple digits by Tuesday afternoon:
