Iowa has a lot going on in this year's tourney.

The state of Iowa has a lot to do with the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament this year from being in the tournament to hosting regional games. So here's what the state of Iowa is all apart of in 2019.

In The Tournament:

Iowa Hawkeyes have the No. 10 seed in the South Region. They will take on Cincinnati, the No. 7 seed, at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. The game will be on Friday, March 22 at 11:15 AM. In the field of 68 teams ranked from 1-68, the selection committee ranked Iowa at number 37.

Iowa State is the 6th-seed in the Midwest Region. The Cyclones face 11th-seeded Ohio State at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla. The game will also be played on Friday and is scheduled to tip-off around 8:50 PM. The committee ranked Iowa State 24th among the tournament's 68 teams.

Hosting The Tournament:

Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines will host six of the NCAA Tournament games. Four games will be played there on Thursday, March 21 and two on Saturday, March 23.

First-round games at Wells Fargo Arena will feature the following match-up:

  • No. 7 Louisville vs. No. 10 Minnesota at 11:15 AM
  • No. 2 Michigan State vs No. 15 Bradley - 30 minutes after Michigan State-Bradley
  • No. 7 Nevada vs. No. 10 Florida at 5:50 PM
  • No. 2 Michigan vs. No. 15 Montana - 30 minutes after Game Florida-Nevada

The Louisville-Minnesota winner faces either Michigan State or Bradley and the Nevada-Florida winner plays either Michigan or Montana on Saturday, also in Des Moines.

Tip times Saturday's second-round games will be announced following the conclusion of Thursday's games.
