Two young Northeast Iowa men have been jailed for causing damage to someone else's vehicle.


On Tuesday (Jan. 23), the Fayette County Sheriff got a call reporting vandalism at a home near Randalia.

After an investigation, authorities determined that 20-year-old Aaron Swearingen and 20-year-old Paul Franzen, both of Fayette, had caused over $1,000 damage to a vehicle.

Both were arrested on charges of Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree. Swearingen and Franzen were held in the Fayette County jail until their appearance in court.
