A Waterloo man wanted on charges connected to a double-homicide case in Arizona has been arrested.

According to Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers, 42-year-old Allan "Tommy" Tucker, was located Saturday and taken into custody. Authorities had issued warrants for his arrest on Friday, charging him with two counts of abuse of a corpse following the discovery of two bodies in a car that was buried in Evansdale.

In a Facebook post Friday, police in Chino Valley, Ariz., tentatively identified the bodies as those of Elissa Landry and her step-father David "Nick" Batten, who disappeared from their community more than a month ago. Official confirmation is pending medical examiner results.

According to The Daily Courier of Prescott, Ariz., authorites discovered evidence of foul play while investigating the missing persons case. Chino Valley police then identified Landry's boyfriend, 24-year-old Mitchell Mincks, formerly of Waterloo, as "a person of interest" in the case. He was found April 28 at a rural Waterloo home and detained on an unrelated charge.

Mincks was recently transferred back to Arizona for a hearing. He has not been charged with any crime related to the apparent homicide of Landry and Batten.

In a Facebook post Friday, Chino Valley police said they received information during the week that the bodies of Landry and Batten were with Landry's missing vehicle and that the blue Subaru was in Iowa. On Tuesday, they sent investigators on the 1,500-mile trip to Evansdale to assist in the search.

Authorities unearthed the human remains and Landry's blue Subaru after digging up a one-acre parcel of undeveloped property at the end of Timber Oak Road, a block-long cul-de-sac in a quiet Evansdale neighborhood that's surrounded by woods.
