Police received reports of the incident Saturday night. Cops say multiple fights were going on in parking lots on either side of a banquet hall.

Police said in a statement that the brawl started with a "physical domestic dispute" in which a woman was dragged into the parking lot. As wedding guests attempted to help the woman, about 30 people got involved in the skirmish. 25-year-old Scott Brockel allegedly attacked several guests during the melee.

Brockel faces charges of aggravated assault, riot, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. [The Morning Call]

The dance was being held at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, so with that historical theme in mind, the tickets urged students to "party like it's 1776." This didn't sit well with certain members of the student body, because, quote, "not all communities can celebrate what life was like in 1776."

Principal Dennis Perry wrote a letter to the community, adding, quote, "I especially apologize to our African American students, who I have let down by not initially recognizing the inappropriateness of this wording."

A representative of the NAACP realized that there was no bad intent, but said it's important to shed light on a dark part of our history. Principal Perry has told students they won't need a ticket to enter prom. [Courier-Post]

24-year-old Jared Thompson was injured during a fight with his girlfriend on Wednesday. 31-year-old Kristy Misty Mudd (I swear that's her ACTUAL name) became upset with Thompson after he said it was too hot to cuddle.

According to police, Mudd shoved Thompson, scratched him on the face, and then started tossing furniture and other items throughout their home. By the time the cops got there, Mudd had totally destroyed the living room.

Cops say Mudd had a "distinct odor" of alcohol on her breath, and she was arrested for domestic battery. [The Smoking Gun]
